 EDITOR REVIEW: SOUTH STREET. Ulana's, which is located just a block off South Street, is one of those surprising side-street spots that looks fairly straightforward on first glance. Many folks know it as a restaurant that serves pasta dishes by candlelight, making it a terrific neighborhood place to take your sweetheart. Once the night wears on, though, things begin to change, especially upstairs – the pulse quickens, the dance beats resonate, and the crowd that shows up does so sporting their hippest club-wear. Indeed, the late night crowd thinks of Ulana's as a lounge and dance club, one whose taste in music can range from techno to hip-hop, depending on which DJ has the reins.
